Addi's Birthday

Addi had her fifth birthday yesterday. I can't believe my baby could be five years old. I don't know why I can't believe it she's been acting like she's 13 for the last year and a half.

This year I suggested that instead of having a big party that Addi just invite one friend to go do something special. She thought about it and then said o.k. mom, you need a break (she's a very insightful child).

So I took Addi and her friend Allie to the cutest little spa. The Spa is called Primrose Retreat and they have a little girls spa there called Spoiled Rotten. It was so darling! They had a catwalk and dress-ups galore. There was a t.v. screen at the end of the catwalk so the girls could see themselves while they wallked. They got pink hot chocolate and pink cupcakes served on prettty china with pink flowers. Both girls got their hair done, sparkly make-up and their fingernails and toenails polished. After all the pampering they could stay and play dress-up as long as they wanted. Addi said she wished she could stay there all day. But this is the reason I could never be a true blogger--I forgot my camera! These pictures are of Addi and Allie after we got home.
Last night we had a family party with cake and ice cream. I told Addi I would make any kind of cake she wanted and she picked the rainbow cake. After making, castle, dragon, pirateship, skateboard, sheep, pig and cow cakes this was quite easy and I was very happy about it.



Addi is way into barbies now and she got exactly what she wanted.

Ridenhour Reunion

Ok, so I know that was a really lazy post. I just wanted to get these pictures on and I didn't have a lot of time. But I have had a request to give a little more info. so here it goes. This past summer all of my siblings and I got together for the first time in almost 10 years. It was so nice to see everyone. We have all seen each other at different times over the years but not all together. All of the grandchildren but two were able to come also which was really nice. We all missed Doug's boys Tyler and Zachary and hope they will be about to come out soon and that it won't be another 10 years before we all get together again.This is my youngest sister Mary's beautiful little girl Sofia.

School starts Monday, so our last summer outing was a climb to Timpanogos cave up American Fork Canyon. Even Addison hiked the majority of the 31/2 mile round trip.

Lagoon

We took a trip to Lagoon on the 24th and we had a really nice time. It was incredibly hot but when it got so bad we couldn't take it any more we headed for Lagoona Beach. We were afraid that since it was a hoiday it might be really crowded but I think there were probably fewer people then usual. They even had fireworks which was great because I don't think my kids had forgiven me for missing the fireworks on the 4th.Addi trying on her brothers goggles.

No this isn't Carter with Morri and Alex, it's Carter's friend Issac that came with us. As I'm looking at this picture I'm wondering why I decided to put it on our blog for everyone to see. Maybe because it is the only one of me from Lagoon but now that I look at it I'm wishing I hadn't posted it. In fact if I knew how to take it off without canceling the whole post I would but I don't so you'll just have to love me inspite of the picture.

Spotlight

We had to do a family spotlight for our ward to hang up in the foyer. I thought it was so cute that I wanted to take a picture of it before we took it apart.

Family Bike Rides
